left: The historic battleship U.S.S. Missouri now anchored at Pearl Harbor became the very first active duty Navy ship to accept a signed print of American Highrise as an onboard decoration. The artist Richard Daniel Clark is shown presenting the image to a crewman beneath the 16 inch guns shortly before the battleship departed Naval Station Long Beach, California for The Gulf War in 1990. Prints of American Highrise have since been distributed to over 300 ships, submarines and aircraft carriers throughout the U.S. Navy.
